Can I bring my pet?
Unfortunately, we’re unable to accommodate pets. This policy helps keep the cottages comfortable for guests with allergies and sensitivities.
Can I arrive early?
We often get asked by guests if they are able to arrive prior to the entry time on their booking information. We will always advise that it is best for you to arrive on or after that time, as that gives the cleaners the full changeover period (which means they can properly prepare the cottages for you). It also depends on how the previous guests left the cottages as to how long the changeover will take, so it’s not possible for us to know whether the house might be finished early.

Can I add extra guests to my booking?
Absolutely as long as you don’t exceed the maximum number of guests advertised on the website for the particular property. Just let us know and we can update your booking details – it is important our records are accurate. With apologies, we can’t exceed the maximum occupancy for a cottage, as it can invalidate the insurance and would be in breach of our booking terms and conditions.
What happens if I need to cancel my booking?
Cancellation insurance is not included in the booking fee and we strongly recommend that you take out appropriate holiday insurance, so that in event of you having to cancel your holiday, you have appropriate cover. Once the holiday is booked the Guest has entered into a legally binding contract. If the Guest cancels, for whatever reason (including medical and weather related) then no refund of the deposit will be due, and within 59 days of the holiday no refund of the full balance is due.
Payment: For bookings made more than 60 days before arrival, a deposit (part payment) of 50% of the total cost of the holiday, is required. The balance is due 60 days before the holiday commences. For bookings made less than 60 days before arrival, the total amount is payable in full on booking. The Guest agrees to pay the balance of the payment 60 days before the holiday is due to start. Where a Guest fails to pay their balance by the due date the booking may be cancelled and the deposit retained.
When is my balance due?
Your balance is due 60 days before the holiday is due to start. We will send you a reminder five days before your payment is due with a link to our secure payment page. We will not collect your balance automatically if we do not hear from you, we will email you to make sure you are aware of the due date (using the contact details you provide when you book). If we are unable to get in touch and do not receive your balance, as per our terms, your booking will be cancelled, deposit retained and dates will be re-advertised.
Is Wi-Fi available?
Yes, complimentary Wi-Fi is provided. Due to the coastal location, speeds may vary.
Are bed linen and towels provided?
Yes, all bed linen and towels are provided for your stay.
Is smoking allowed?
No, the property is strictly non-smoking.
How far is the beach?
The beach is just a short walk from the property.
Are there shops, cafes and pubs nearby?
Yes, there are two local shops, one located on main street, The Wee Shoppie, a short walk away and the other, The Spar, is as you come into Gardenstown. There is Eli's café just a stroll away from the harbour and the local pub Garden Arms is within walking distance.
